Finished Master Bath Recreation Photos

Posted on Posted in Boulter House News

The addition bath never did have plans or cabinet designs. As far as we had seen, all the past photos showed counters, fixtures and cabinets that didn't match the main home. Janet and I felt the bath in the addition didn't reflect the same FLW design details of the main home. Along with Designer Chris Magee we created a plan that simulated the second floor main bath's features and textures. From exposing the block to finding an original matching sink every detail reflects the original FLW materials, fit and finish of the main home.

From Frank Lloyd Wright to the Leopard Frog

The event Friday, October 24, 2008 was a great success. I'm even glad it rained an inch. We were a bit packed in but glaser works put on a wonderful presentation. $250 was donated to the Northside Redevelopment Corp. and also the Civic Garden Center. We'll do another event in the spring. Bracing for winter. Thanks to everyone involved.

Dinner and presentation for those interested in the evolution of the Organic Architecture of FLW to the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design at the Frank Lloyd Wright Boulter House, 1 Rawson Woods Cir., Cincinnati, OH 45220 to benefit Cincinnati Northside Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation.

Infrared Photos Indicate Sealing Needed

Posted on Posted in Boulter House News

Barb Yankie of Homes +, Inc. took infrared photos of the home in the Spring of 2007 and provided a detailed report indicating where sealing work needs to be done. I plan to have all the corner and flat glass resealed before next winter. For the corners I'm using Lexel Clear Sealant from Sashco Sealants, Inc., 103300 East 107th Place, Brighton, CO 80601, 1-800-289-7290 which is the clearest I've found. Thanks to Stan Beck of Beck's Hardware for tipping me off about it. The last set of photos show the radiant coils in the living room floor.
